Bruno E.  Flaim
FLAIM – Bruno E., 80, Jerome, died March 2, 2018 at his home. Born December 29, 1937 in Krings Station. Son of Enrico V. and Mary L. (Carrara) Flaim. Preceded in death by parents, son Sgt. Rudolph B. Flaim, two infant sisters Julie and Virginia; brother Enrico Flaim; mother and father-in-law Stanley and Helen Dunn and brothers-in-law Rudy Orlandi, Gene Dipre and Stanley Dunn. Survived by wife of 44 years Rebecca J. (Dunn) Flaim; daughters Roxanne married to Michael Buncich, Davidsville; Rena married to Michael Drenning, Saxton and Juliet married to Jeremy Stone, Carlisle; grandchildren Tess and Michael Drenning; Mikella and Alexis Buncich and Ella and Lyla Stone; sisters Palma Orlandi, Vera Dipre and Rose Flaim, all of Jerome; sisters-in-law Judy married to Larry Miller, Northern Cambria and Eileen Dunn, Brazil, IN; godsons David Livengood and Chris Orlandi; nephew Deacon Jack Orlandi and wife Collette and niece Rosemarie married to David Livengood. A 1957 graduate of Conemaugh Township Area High School. Retired Chief Estimator with Sheesley Construction Inc., Johnstown. Member of St. Anne Catholic Church, Davidsville where he was instrumental in the renovation of Holy Cross cemetery in honor of his son Rudy. Also a member of Jerome Nest 556 Polish Falcons. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, picking mushrooms and gardening; he was especially proud of his garlic and sunflowers. Bruno was also a very good cook who carried on his mother’s Italian traditions. He was a very giving and generous man and a loving husband, father and grandfather. Viewing from 2-4 & 6-8PM Sunday at Hoffman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 109 Church Road, Davidsville where a vigil for the deceased will be held 2PM Sunday. Funeral Mass 11AM Monday at St. Anne Catholic Church with Fr. John Voytek, OFM Conv. Celebrant and Deacon Jack Orlandi assisting. Committal Holy Cross Cemetery, Jerome. In lieu of flowers, donations in Bruno’s memory may be sent to Camp Cadet of Somerset County, 142 Sagamore St., Somerset, PA 15501.
