Linda L.  McVicker (Carpenter)
McVICKER - Linda L. (Carpenter), 70, Stoystown, went to be with the Lord March 13, 2018 at Memorial Medical Center, Johnstown. Born December 23, 1947 in Somerset. Daughter of Gerald H. and Josephine I. (Gowarty) Carpenter. Preceded in death by parents and son Ryann McVicker. Survived by husband of 51 years Neil S. “Chip”; children Robert and wife Marcy, Somerset and Raquel L. married to David Trevarrow, Stoystown; grandchildren Jenna married to John Hay, Britney McVicker and fiancé Bradly Pile, Bryan Weigle and girlfriend Carly and Elle McVicker and boyfriend Devin; great grandchildren Elija and Brantley McVicker; Brayden, Landen and Evyin Hay and one great grandson due in June; brothers Gerald and wife Betty, Friedens; Robert and wife LaRue, Friedens and Gary and wife Theresa, Jenner Crossroads; brother-in-law Larry McVicker, Johnstown and numerous nieces and nephews. A 1965 graduate of Jenner-Boswell High School. Linda helped work on the family farm for over 20 years. Retired Finance Manager having worked at local car dealerships. She was also a Longaberger Basket Consultant for many years. Member of Sipesville Church of the Brethren. Linda was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and the rock of her family and was lovingly known as Bidizzle to her great-grandchildren. Viewing from 2-4 & 6-8PM Friday at Hoffman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 409 Main Street, Boswell. Viewing also from 10AM until time of service 11AM Saturday at Sipesville Church of the Brethren with Pastor Cecil Lohr presiding. Interment Horner-Mt. Tabor Cemetery.
