Obituary for Rena Hainsey (Sidone)
HAINSEY - Rena (Sidone), 94, Johnstown, died March 21, 2018 at Memorial Medical Center. Born February 7, 1924 in Dilltown. Daughter of Dominic and Ida (Rimoldi) Sidone. Preceded in death by parents; husband Robert on January 7, 2011; son David; brothers Quindo and Irvin Sidone and sister Julia Kuzma. Survived by daughters Sandra Hainsey, Tire Hill and Kathleen, married to Gregory Seidel, Davidsville; grandchildren, Tracy Kauffman, Johnstown; Eric Chmelarsky, Tire Hill; Kristy Cade, St. Petersburg, Fla.; Lindsay, married to Kevin Spangler, Pittsburgh; and David Seidel and wife Alyssa, Pittsburgh; and great-grandchildren, Leah and Rena Kauffman; Keith Webb and Mia and Nolan Spangler. Charter member of St. Andrew’s Catholic Church, Benscreek where she was a member of the Ladies Guild and Adult Choir. Rena enjoyed taking care of her family, being a homemaker and cooking and baking. The family would like to thank the staff at the Lutheran Home at Johnstown for all their kindness and compassion given to Rena and the family. A Funeral Mass will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Andrew’s Catholic Church, the Rev. Father Angelo J. Patti, celebrant. Committal at St. Anthony’s Cemetery, Geistown, at a later date. Arrangements by Hoffman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Davidsville. In lieu of flowers, donations in Rena’s memory may be sent to St. Andrew’s Church, 1621 Ferndale Ave., Johnstown, Pa. 15905.
