Florence E.  Brick (Berkey)
BRICK – Florence E. (Berkey), 87, Hollsopple, passed away August 31, 2018 at her home. Born November 2, 1930 in Hillsboro. Daughter of Wresley and Irene (Thomas) Berkey. Preceded in death by parents; husband of 66 years Arnold C. Brick on April 11, 2016; brothers Leonard and Hobert Berkey and sisters Bernice Berkey-Ott and Neva Wise. Survived by son Bradley C. and companion Arbutus Thomas, Palmetto, FL; daughter Beverly E. married to George Wiley, with whom Florence resided; grandchildren George Wiley and wife Mona, Benscreek; Valerie (Wiley) married to Jason Wojcik, Windber; Clifton Brick and wife Marijke, New Hampshire and Melissa (Brick) married to Brandy Companion, Bathe, ME; great-grandchildren Heaven, George Tavis, Katie, Trent, Glenna, Kelsey, Bianca, Keeghan, James, Baylee and Braydon and 4 great-great grandchildren. Sister of Olive Baker, Marion Yoder, Marlin Berkey and his wife Jean Ann, Lois married to Elmer Swanger, Donna married to Robert Koot and Janet Kushto. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Florence was a very active member of St. Thomas Lutheran Church, Hooversville. She enjoyed quilting but her faith and her family, both immediate and extended, were her greatest joys. Friends received from 5-8PM Tuesday at Hoffman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 109 Church Road, Davidsville. Friends also received from 10AM until time of service 11AM Wednesday at St. Thomas Church with Pastor Nila Cogan presiding. Inurnment church cemetery.
