MANGES – William A. “Raider”, 74, Johnstown, died January 10, 2019 at his home. Born September 19, 1944 in Windber. Son of the late Eugene A. and Orpha R. (Repine) Manges. Survived by brothers Leroy J. Hyatt and wife Karen, Windber and Richard E. Manges and wife Linda, Hooverville; nieces Trish married to Dave Cotterman, Vinco; Heidi married to Ronald Lipera, Central City and Sherri married to Josh Telenko, Jeannette; nephews Ralph Zorn, Glenco; David Zorn and wife Annie, Marysville and LaVan Zorn and wife Stacy, Mechanicsburg and 10 great-nieces and nephews. A 1962 graduate of Conemaugh Township High School. Former truck driver for Fetterolf Mining for 15 years and retired truck driver for Sleek Trucking with over 20 years of service. A member of UMWA. He enjoyed watching sports on television, especially the Pittsburgh Pirates and Steelers and NASCAR. A private inurnment will be held at a later date at St. Thomas Cemetery, Hooversville.
