Obituary for Norma M. Telenko (Marchi)

TELENKO - Norma M. (Marchi), 89, Jerome, passed away June 5, 2019 at Arbutus Park Manor, Johnstown. Born October 7, 1929 in Johnstown to Angelo and Josephine (Miorelli) Marchi. Preceded in death by parents; sisters Edna Martello and Gloria Likovich; grandson Daniel Mulhollen, Jr. and granddaughters Taylor Telenko and Josephine Telenko. Survived by husband of 67 years, Thomas C. Telenko, whom she married July 6, 1951; children Debbie Harwell (Kevin), Bellefonte; Terri Mulhollen (Dan), Somerset; Tom (Vicki), Johnstown; Janet Telenko-Davis, White Lake, NC and Tim (Wendy), Jerome; sister Jane Massa, Hobart, Indiana; 10 grandchildren - Jennifer, Dan, Eric, Nicole, Tyler, Cody, Jordan, Bailey, Hannah, and Maggie and 8 great-grandchildren - Jacob, Amelia, Lona, Adam, Eleanor, Cameron, Joanna, and Owen and numerous nieces, nephews and in-laws. A 1947 graduate of Conemaugh Township High School. Member of St. Anne Catholic Church, Davidsville. Norma was a loving and caring wife and mother, always taking care of the people around her. She worked part-time at Sunnehanna Country Club as a waitress and at the Joy Shop in Johnstown as a clerk. She never hesitated to open her home to friends and family and was well known for her cooking. For many years Norma, on a regular basis, would make 50 pounds of potato salad for the Jerome Volunteer Fire Company events. She was famous among friends and families for her meatballs. Her children’s friends visited on a regular basis and enjoyed the numerous pizzas she made over the years. She enjoyed attending sporting events and loved watching the Steelers, Penguins and Pirates with her husband Tom. She and Tom loved driving to Myrtle Beach and spending time enjoying the sand and surf. Viewing from 3-8PM Friday at Hoffman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 109 Church Road, Davidsville where a vigil for the deceased will be held 3PM Friday. Funeral Mass 11AM Saturday at St. Anne Church, Davidsville with Fr. Peter Crowe celebrant. Committal St. Anthony’s Cemetery, Geistown.
