Obituary for Leroy R. "Lee" Kenner

KENNER – Leroy R. “Lee”, 73, Richland Township, formerly of Davidsville, passed away June 26, 2019 at Laurel View Village, Davidsville. Born September 1, 1945 in Altoona and raised in Coupon. Son of Leroy H. and Doris (Yahner) Kenner. Preceded in death by parents; brother Jim Kenner; father-in-law and mother-in-law Walter and Gen Conrad and brother-in-law Dan Pettenati. Survived by wife of 53 years Carolyn F. “Carol” (Conrad) Kenner; daughter Kimberly married to Louis Berestecki, Annandale, VA; son Jeffrey Kenner and wife Sheree, Red Feather Lake, CO; granddaughter Kaitlyn Kenner; grandson Ryan Berestecki; sister Lorna Pettenati, Hollidaysburg; brothers Bruce and wife Leona, Middletown, MD; Kevin and wife Carolyne, Knoxville, TN; and Scott and wife Mary, Johnstown; sisters-in-law Patty married to Gerald Stevens, Atloona and Audrey Mundorff, Cresson and numerous nieces and nephews. A 1963 graduate of Gallitzin High School and a 1965 graduate of Williamsport Community College. He retired from AT&T in 1999 after 33 ½ years of service as a Communications Technician. Also a retired member of CWA Union. Past Grand Knight of Knights of Columbus Council 8979 Hollsopple. Past Faithful Navigator of David J. Dodson Assembly 2201 where he was a 4th Degree Color Corps member. Member of Msgr James E. Fitzgibbon Council 8204 Knights of Columbus, Johnstown. Member of St. Benedict Catholic Church, Johnstown. Lee enjoyed traveling, watching John Wayne movies and square dancing. He was past President and Secretary of Track II Square Dance Club, Salix. A special thank you and God bless all the wonderful people who cared for Lee at Laurel View Village and Windber Hospice. Viewing from 2-6PM Sunday at Hoffman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 109 Church Road, Davidsville where a vigil for the deceased will be held. Funeral Mass 10AM Monday at St. Benedict Church with Fr. David Peles celebrant. Committal Jenner Crossroads Cemetery.
