YASTE – Thelma F. (Gindlesperger), 88, Lincoln Hwy., Stoystown (Quemahoning Twp.), died August 7, 2019 at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center. Born April 16, 1931 in Conemaugh Township, Somerset County. Daughter of Curtis M. and Olive I. (Thomas) Gindlesperger. Preceded in death by parents, husband of 43 years Kevin E. Yaste on December 7, 1996 and brother-in-law Edward A. Wilson. Survived by daughter Karen L. married to Nathan Appelgate, Stoystown; son Kevin L. married to Brenda Edwards, Geistown; grandson Ryan Yaste; sisters Marlene Gindlesperger and Lois Wilson, both of Stoystown and numerous other relatives. Graduate of former Boswell High School. Lifelong active member of Thomas Mennonite Church, Thomas Mills where she formerly was the Church Treasurer, taught Sunday School and Bible School and was a member of Church Council. Past employee of Boswell Lumber Company, Karen Appelgate Accounting and Yaste Greenhouse. Viewing from 2-4 & 6-8PM Friday at Hoffman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 409 Main Street, Boswell.
