Carol A.  Jones (Folk)
JONES – Carol A. (Folk), 67, Ham Road, Hollsopple, died March 2, 2012, at UPMC Shadyside Hospital, Pittsburgh. Born June 16, 1944, in Johns- town, daughter of Paul K. and Anna L. (Hershberger) Folk. Preceded in death by parents; husband, Gary M., on Jan. 27, 2006; infant brother, Ronald; and brother-in-law, Edward Hesson. Survived by daughters, Mary E., married to Scott Summits, and Maxine C., married to Kieran Cullen; grandchild- ren, Stephanie and Stephen Summits and Declan, Kieran, Ronan and Maeve Cullen, all of Hollsopple; sisters, Janice, married to Edward Ogline, Jerome; Marilyn Hesson, Jerome; Cheryl, married to Brian Thomas, Soap Hollow; and Susan, married to Gregory Frohnsdorff, Charleston, S.C.; brother, Bryan, Grove City; and numerous nieces and nephews. A 1962 graduate of the former Johnstown Mennonite School. A retired LPN for Allegheny Lutheran Home. Carol enjoyed reading, traveling, listening to music and attending her grandchildrens’ sporting events. She also enjoyed spending time with her friends in the “Out to Supper Bunch.” Viewing from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Hoffman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 109 Church Road, Davidsville. Funeral service at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Blough Mennonite Church, with the Rev. Brenda Shaffer, retired pastor of Western Pennsylvania United Methodist Church, and the Rev. Eric C. Lasure, presiding. No viewing at the church. Interment, Blough Mennonite Cemetery. Donations in Carol’s memory may be sent to Blough Mennonite Church, 794 Woodstown Highway, Hollsopple, Pa. 15935.
