Cary L.  Todaro
TODARO – Cary L., 53, Hollsopple, died Aug. 1, 2014, at Select Specialty Hospital, Johnstown. Born June 15, 1961, in Johnstown. Preceded in death by mother, Janet M. (Green) Todaro; grandparents, Giovanni and Mary Ann Todaro and William and Genevieve Green. Survived by father, Charles A., and his wife, Grace, Westmont; wife of nearly 28 years, Dawna L. (Reed) Todaro; children, Zachary K., and fiancée, Mary Byer, Johnstown; and Cody C. and Hanna L., both at home; brother, Jeffrey L., married to Harriet (Rummel), Johnstown; sister, Dr. Angela L. Todaro, Middleton, Conn.; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Kenneth and Helen Reed, Johnstown; brothers-in-law, David Reed, and wife, Cyndi, Mechanicsburg, and Jeffery Reed, and wife, Erin, Johnstown; four nieces; and one nephew. A 1979 graduate of Johnstown High School. He worked as a goldsmith for the family business and was an entrepreneur who owned and operated many other businesses over the years. His true passion was building and driving his late-model race cars. Cary designed and built his home for his family because spending time with them was most important to him. He also enjoyed being with his pet Rottweilers, Biscuit and Heda. Cary was a member of Maple Spring Church of the Brethren, where he served as an usher. Viewing from 1 to 3 and 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at Hoffman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 109 Church Road, Davidsville. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Maple Spring Church, with the Rev. Guy Myers presiding. There will be no viewing at the church. Interment, Maple Spring Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Cary’s memory may be given to Maple Spring Church, c/o Helping Hands Fund, 106 Spring Road, Hollsopple, Pa. 15935.
