DODSON – Blanche G. (Gowarty), 100, formerly of Jenners, died Aug. 12, 2014, at Meadow View Nursing Center, Berlin. Born Sept. 4, 1913, in Kearney, Bedford County, daughter of Michael and Pearl (Figard) Gowarty. Preceded in death by parents; husband, Chester M., on Dec. 22, 1973; infant son, Ronald; and brothers, John, Robert and Arthur. Sister of Josephine, widow of Gerald Carpenter, Windber; and Kenneth, married to Nancy Donio, Jenners. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Viewing will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Hoffman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 409 Main St., Boswell, where service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Deacon Jay Pyle, officiating.
