Stephen R.  Diehl
DIEHL – Stephen R., 49, Boswell (Jenner Crossroads), died June 5, 2015, at his home. Born July 5, 1965, in Somerset. Preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Lester and Dorothy Keyser; paternal grandparents, Glenn and Betty Diehl; and stepfather, Ronald R. Wills. Survived by wife of 19 years, Sherry L. (Sheeler) Diehl; father, Ronald, married to June (Adams) Diehl, Boswell; mother, Gloria Wills, Stoystown; children, Katie Diehl, Chicago, Ill.; and Jacob Diehl, York; stepson, Joshua Ware, Boswell; grandson, Joey Ware; brothers, Kenneth Diehl, and fiancee, Lori Darr, Somerset; and Corey Diehl, married to Megan (Latuch), Blough; stepbrothers and -sisters, Denise (Albright), married to Rob Jaeger, Ligonier; Merry (Albright), married to Robert Smith, Jennerstown; Gary Albright, married to Shana (Ryan), Boswell; Wally Albright, married to Terri (Reed), Boswell; and Angel Albright, and fiance, Ron Zufall, Jenners; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Dan and Patty (McKelvey) Sheeler, Somerset; brother-in-law, Dan Sheeler, Jr., Sipesville; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. A 1983 graduate of North Star High School. He worked in the family business alongside his father and brothers at Diehl Contracting since he was 14 years old. Steve was an avid Pittsburgh Pirates and Steelers and Penn State football fan. He also enjoyed doing woodworking. Viewing will be held from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Hoffman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 409 Main St., Boswell, where service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, the Rev. Gary W. Anderson and the Rev. Barry K. Ritenour, presiding. In lieu of flowers, donations in Steve’s memory may be sent to In Touch Hospice, P.O. Box 1173, Somerset, Pa. 15501.
