Robert C. Downey
Robert C. Downey, 92, born November 23, 1922 to the late Chester C. Downey and Anna May Huston Downey in McKeesport, PA. The family lived in Dravosburg, PA, and attended Amity Presbyterian Church. Robert was a World War II Veteran, serving in the Medical Corps from 1944-45 at the 128th General Hospital in England. He worked for U.S. Steel from 1946 until his retirement in 1983. Robert passed away on August 17, 2015 at Country Manor Living in Jerome, PA, where he lived for almost 12 years. Robert is survived by his daughter, Karen Cartia of Friedens, 4 grandchildren and preceded in death by a brother, DeWitt C. Downey.
