Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Joanne Tunstall can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

TUNSTALL - Joanne R. (Shaffer), 76, Jerome, died June 2, 2016 at her home. Born November 13, 1939 in Johnstown. Daughter of Robert and Ella (Leckey) Shaffer. Preceded in death by parents, husband of 43 years Harry E. Tunstall, Sr. on November 19, 2006; brothers Robert and John “Dick”, sister Dorothy Mae Sponsellers and pet dog Princess Panda. Survived by children Sheri Naylor, Johnstown; Bill married to Julie (Gindlesperger), Friedens; Harry, Jr. married to Christine (Slonka), Jerome; Annie married to Nick Matkoskey, Acosta; Joe married to Hope (Yates), Jerome; Lori Tunstall, Richland and Justin married to Tina (King), Friedens; 10 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren and sister-in-law Doris Shaffer, Johnstown. A very proud graduate of Conemaugh Township Area High School, class of 1960 where she was a member of the marching band. Former hostess for Wendy’s restaurant in Johnstown and Somerset where she received many awards for outstanding service. Member of former Acosta Church of God and attended Greater Johnstown Christian Fellowship. She enjoyed spending time with her family. Viewing from 2-4 & 6-8PM Sunday at Greater Johnstown Christian Fellowship, 3429 Elton Rd, Johnstown, PA 15904, where a service will be held 11AM Monday with Rev. Gary L. Tustin and Rev. Don Trotz presiding. Viewing will also be held one hour prior to service. (Any flower deliveries should be sent to the church.) Interment Grandview Cemetery Mausoleum.
