Obituary for Douglas Charles Miller

MILLER – Rev. Douglas Charles, 60, formerly of Boswell, died November 27, 2016 at Siemon’s Lakeview Manor, Somerset. Born July 20, 1956 in Erie. Son of Charles F. and Mabel (Barber) Miller. Preceded in death by father, January 9, 2001; infant sister Charlene Marie Miller on June 27, 1958 and pet dog Buster. Survived by mother Mabel Merriman, Somerset; sister Sandra Rae married to Rev. Dr. Dennis Godin, Jennerstown; special niece Angela R. Godin and Doug’s wife Sandy. Member of Somerset Church of God. Rev. Douglas fought the good fight, finished the race and kept the faith and has gone to be with his Lord and Savior. Graduate of North East High School, Erie County and Somerset International College of Bible Theology. Formerly employed by Hayes Manufacturing, Erie; Miller Electric, Somerset and the Mountain Playhouse, Jennerstown. Doug enjoyed evangelizing, teaching Sunday school and Bible classes, woodworking, Christian music, fishing, craft shows, antiquing and gardening. He was also an avid Cleveland Browns fan. A private graveside service will be held at Jenner Crossroads Cemetery. Arrangements by Hoffman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Boswell.
