James W.  Stufft
Stufft - James W., 72, Jenner Township, beloved husband, father and friend, died January 14, 2017 at home surrounded by family after a courageous battle with cancer. Born January 31, 1944 in Jenner Township. Son of James E. and Carrie (Spangler) Stufft. Preceded in death by parents and brother-in-law Sheldon Weaver. Survived by and left to cherish his memory, his wife of 50 years former Shelby Reckner; daughters: Rachel Stufft and companion Joe Barnick, Jenner Township and Laura Woodward and husband Corey, Camp Hill; Grandchildren Cheyenne McDowell and Cody Barnick;
sister, Nancy Weaver and nieces Lisa (Weaver) Milsop and Nadine (Weaver) Rearick, as well as many special friends and in-laws. Graduate of former JBJ High School and a member of Mt. Laurel United Church of Christ. Owner/operator of Laura D. Coal Company for 16 years and also worked for various coal companies in Somerset County. He enjoyed watching western movies, especially starring John Wayne, traveling out west, history, hunting and restoring old tractors. Jim’s biggest love was his family. Visitation from 2PM until time of memorial service at 3PM, Saturday, January 21, 2017 at Laurel Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Jennerstown, Chaplain Stephanie Betsa, officiating.
