Ronald C.  Brougher
BROUGHER – Ronald C., 79, Boswell, died January 16, 2017 at Memorial Medical Center, Johnstown. Born July 26, 1937 in Somerset. Son of O. Glenn, Sr. and Hilda (Brennan) Brougher. Preceded in death by parents, son Ronald C. Brougher, II on September 13, 2002 and brother O. Glenn, Jr. and his wife Pat. Survived by wife of 56 years Lana G. (Reinholtz) Brougher; son Bryan B. married to Heather (Rivera), Boswell daughter Jennifer married to Ronald Powell, Quemahoning Township; grandchildren Phillip Brougher, Belynda Luckenbaugh, Brennan and Eli Brougher and Sadie and Colby Powell; great-granddaughter Marley Luckenbaugh; brother Robert married to Lois Lape, Johnstown and numerous other relatives, in-laws and friends. A 1955 graduate of former JBJ Joint High School, Boswell and a 1960 graduate of California (PA) State Teacher’s College. Did post graduate work at WVU and University of Pittsburgh with Master’s Degrees from both schools. Member of St. Andrew’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Boswell where he was a past council member and treasurer. Charter member of Boswell Area Jaycees where he was formerly very active and was a past director of the Holiday Basketball Tournament. Retired teacher and administrator for the Johnstown School District. Also retired as vocational director for the Greene County Schools and the Pennsylvania State Department of Education. Past member of the North Star School Board. Greatly enjoyed the many trips across the United States with Lana and friends Mary Ann and Joe. Viewing from 2-4 & 6-8PM Thursday at Hoffman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 409 Main Street, Boswell where a service will be held 11AM Friday with Rev. Jonathan Adams and Rev. Larry C. Hoover presiding. Interment Blough Mennonite Cemetery, Hollsopple. Donations in Ron’s memory may be sent to St. Andrew’s Church, 500 Main Street, Boswell, PA 15531.
