SHEFTIC – Frederick J., “Fred” , 77, Boswell, passed away peacefully at home May 15, 2017. Born March 18, 1940 in Boswell. Son of Casmer and Kathryn (Grasser) Sheftic. Preceded in death by parents and brother-in-law, Mike Evano. Survived by wife of 56 years, former Daryle A. Griffith; children Chris and wife Stacy, Myrtle Beach, SC.; Ray, Jennerstown, and Mary, and husband Randy Schrock, Boswell; grandchildren, Hannah; Courtney and Luke Schrock; brother Dan and wife Carole (Sage) Sheftic, FL, and sister, Alberta Evano, Latrobe. A 1957 graduate of former J.B.J. Joint High School and attended Duquesne University majoring in music. Fred owned and operated Sheftic’s Tri-County Sales Beer Distributor for many years. After retirement, he worked for Schrock Cabinets. He enjoyed playing the piano, listening to music and watching basketball. According to his wishes, there will be a private family service to celebrate his life. Arrangements in charge of Hoffman Funeral Home & Cremation Services.
