The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Russell West can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Growing up on Fisher Rd I have been surrounded by a multitude of diverse, talented, loving souls. Adjoining my property was the West Family. As a young child I was skinny as a rail and didn't like to eat, I would share my lunch with Robin West on the way home from school. She passed away when we were very young from a ruptured appendix, her parents never forgot my kindness. When I married they enjoyed the friendship of my husband and children. Sonny and Mable delivered beautiful Gladiolus and Friendship Cake to my door. I permed and cut Mable's hair. I shared many conversations and much laughter. Russ and Sonny were very talented men who could fabricate basically anything from nothing, along with those skills they were very artistic men. Russ enjoy auto racing. He played his music loud for all to hear and loved his home place. Russ was a very hardworking, dedicated man who worked in Somerset creating exhaust systems. This past spring/summer we shared many conversations and laughter on the West Homestead. Though he knew his cancer was advanced he still remained positive and kept his sense of humor. RIP Russ, The Zanoni Family will miss you!
