Dennis P.  Leyman
LEYMAN – Dennis P., 65, Boswell, passed away suddenly September 1, 2017 at his home. Born March 30, 1952 in Bridgeston, NJ. Son of Charles and Marian (Turner) Leyman. Preceded in death by parents, sister Anne Burkhart and brother Samuel. Survived by wife of 28 years Martha L. (Szewczyk); sons Richard and wife Jami, Woodstown, NJ and Kenneth, Alloway, NJ; stepson Jason Villa and wife Tara, Leechburg; grandchildren Austin, Garrett, Kayleigh, Kyia, Kayden, Grady and Rylan Leyman and Cole and Tyler Villa; godchildren Connor and Zoe McGee and Bradley Lepley; brothers Charles and wife Sue and Phil and wife Carol and sister Joyce married to Jack Sawyers, all of Bridgeston, NJ and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. A graduate of Bridgeston High School and former Glassboro State College. He received his Principal’s Certification from I.U.P. and Master’s Degree from Penn State University. Former Teacher and Educator, Principal and Superintendent for North Star Schools. He was also very proud to have been a wrestling and golf coach for North Star where he was recognized as PIAA Co-Coach of the Year for wrestling and was an inductee of the District 5 Wrestling Hall of Fame. Member of All Saints Catholic Parish. He was an avid golfer and “Commissioner” of Oakbrook Thursday Night Golf League. Denny was an avid sports fan especially of the Pittsburgh Steelers and Penguins, Philadelphia Phillies and Penn State Football. He especially enjoyed watching his grandchildren, who were the light of his life, play sports. Viewing from 2-8PM Wednesday at Hoffman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 409 Main Street, Boswell where a vigil for the deceased will be held 2PM Wednesday. Funeral Mass 10AM Thursday at All Saints Church, Boswell with Rev. Fr. John Voytek, OFM Conv. celebrant. Committal St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Boswell. In lieu of flowers, donations for the bell tower fund may be sent to All Saints Parish, 325 Quemahoning St., Boswell, PA 15531.
