EPPLEY (Evans) – Herbert T., 79, Boswell, died November 3, 2017 at his home. Born August 19, 1938 in Johnstown. Son of Otis Evans and Dorothy M. (Horner) Eppley. Preceded in death by parents, granddaughter Lisa Eppley and brother-in-law Ben Ulrich. Survived by sons Craig S. married to Roxann (Sipe) Eppley, Somerset; Gregg A. Eppley and Douglas M. married to Michelle (Meyers) Eppley, Jennerstown; grandchildren Jill married to David Heining, Zachary Eppley, Nicole married to Matt Briney and Justin Eppley; great-grandchildren Lilly and J.B. Heining, Jake Hampe, Brayden Baker and Lance Eppley; special friend and companion Mary Ann Haire and her daughters Jill married to Chad Stroba and Heather married to Kent Krisay; sisters Judy Ulrich, Boswell; Joyce married to Walter Gilbert, Hollsopple and Sandra married to Jack Warner, Biloxi, MS. A 1956 graduate of J.B.J. Joint High School, Boswell. Former member of U.S. Air Force Reserve. Employee of Boswell Prescription Center. Former Owner and President of Penn Energy Corporation and H.T. Eppley & Sons Contracting Co. Herb enjoyed Bluegrass music and festivals and riding on trains. Viewing from 2-4 & 6-8PM Tuesday at Hoffman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 409 Main Street, Boswell where a service will be held 11AM Wednesday with Pastor Michael Minick presiding. Interment Mt.
